QANTM College is one of Australia 's most progressive and innovative new media education companies. It was originally founded in 1996 by the state governments of Queensland and the Northern Territory and the 5 major universities in Queensland using federal government funding. Since privatisation in 2004 QANTM College has been owned by SAE Investments Pty Ltd, which is an Australian based company specialising in education with 47 campuses in 17 countries worldwide.
QANTM College is an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) that:
- specialises in New Media education and offers the only specialised 'Games' degree in Australia and 1 of only a handful in the world
- has been accredited by the Queensland Office of Higher Education to offer degree level qualifications in it own right
- runs programs from Certificate to Degree level in Animation, Games Programming, Graphic Design and New Media Development
- has won a number of awards including Small Training Provider of the Year 2001 & 2003.
- Our students have also won awards including the 'Best Unpublished Independent Game' at the 2004 Australian Games Developers Conference.
